Who exactly would they upset if they offered Chad the job?  2 or 3 people?  Isn't everyone else going to be happy though?  By offering the job to someone else aren't they reversing the numbers and causing themselves tons of problems and issues?  Hope you guys have a ton of player leadership during all this time without a head coach.  Bet the work ethic is suffering.  Who are yall scrimmaging this spring?

Everyone I know wants Chad to be the head coach. I'm sure there are a few people who would rather not risk giving him the job. The way I see it is, granted I'm a nobody with only friends left at Dresden after May, give the guy a shot because he has earned it if he screws up take the head job away and torture him by leaving him at Dresden teaching advanced science and math without being a coach. I have no idea who we scrimmage or when. I've even asked around with no answers.

Yeah, you nailed it ysoangry!!! I'm going with him to Nashville tomorrow to check out his new Lion/Hog Ice Cream formula just for ya'lls home games. His other half will handle sales of ice cream and burritos while he's coaching. I'm 99.4% sure!

Well, my son's last season was in '99 and still all the Rebel Nation knows me and respects my opinion. They seldom follow it but the coaches and school didn't follow them generally when he was playing either. I'm still friends with the coaching staff and feel comfortable talking to them anytime. So you won't fall into some great abyss in May. I'd like to see Chad get the position too....he's earned it. I always figured that if a head coach didn't get fired up in a tough game he was lacking something. Just my $.02 worth.

I've been hearing a little about a east TN coach but no concrete news. I've googled the guy and if they pass chad up for him I'll become a McKenzie Rebel fan next year! lol
