DC claimed the region championship today. They will host a sub state game Friday.

DC is up 6-4 at the moment. We were down 4-2 but got a grand slam over center field to take the lead.

DC wins a thriller on a grand slam in the bottom of the 6th inning. One heck of a game & very proud of DC for never giving up! On to the Boro.

That grand slam was pretty dang sweet. This is the first time  DC has ever made the state tournament in back to back years, and the 7th time overall.

I remember turning to the person next to me before she hit it out and tellin them that she came pretty close to putting one over against Macon the other night. Seconds later, boom.

Before she hit it out of the park I was thinking, "man we need a grand slam right here". When she made contact, I could tell just from the sound of the ball coming of the bat that it had a chance. Things like that are priceless. She will remember that for the rest of her life. One day she will be telling her children, then her children's children about how she hit a grand slam to help send the Tigers to the state tournament.

Looks like Chattanooga Central will be eyeing revenge for last years loss to us in substate....no easy games at this point..
