Can Pickett Co Beat Goodpasture?

   Goodpasture only beat Gordonsville by 9 and 14 in their last two matchups. PC was ahead of Gordonsville by 17 at Gordonsville in the 3rd quarter before John Michael Ferrell was hurt and had to leave the game, when they played last. PC also beat the Tigers by 11 at home. It would take a great 3 point shooting night and their usual great defense to pull it off, but it isn't impossible. But with Goodpasture beating Jackson Co. 93-24, it seems like it would take a miracle for any single A team to beat them. Play hard Bobcats!

   With private schools only making up about a dozen of the 136 single A schools, they have won half the state championships since 1998.

Goodpasture has 7 seniors. They will be a tough match up for anyone.

I wouldn't base the game on comparisons against other teams.  I expect Goodpasture to win by 20 or 25 points or so.

I am a Bobcat fan tonight! This will be a good matchup to watch as GP likes to press and Pickett has some really good guards so we will see how it plays out. If I'm guessing everyone in the gym will be for Pickett County except the GP faithful.

The Pickett game is at 6pm and the Clarkrange game is at 7:30. Get there early. When PC played Clarkrange in the district finals they filled 2/3 of the gym and tonight there will be 4 schools trying to get in.
