Middle School State predictions

These predictions are very middle TN heavy.

I didn't even realize it when I posted mine. I was just trying to base mine off of past results from the season. The problem is we haven't seen a lot of Chattanooga. I'm sure mine will change once we see what happens this week, and see what weight kids drop to for regions.

Who is up for the challenge?

70- Tyler Cherry   Springhill   Could see someone from 75 drop too

75- Christian Isbell   Clarksville

80-  Bryce Pond   Cleveland/ Higher Calling for state but may get beat in duals by junior Noah Horst

85- Luke Dezember Lawrence county  look for a few 90 lb kids to drop here.  Tough bracket

90- Micheal Moultry  Father Ryan  tough bracket here too.

95- Logan Whiteside  Cleveland/ Higher Calling

100- Alexi Pergande Father Ryan

105- Austin Sweenry Cleveland/ Higher Calling

110- Simon Pergande  Father Ryan

115- Landon Fowler  Eagleview  Baylor kids playing other sports

120-  ???

125- Trevor Rippy Beech

130- Christian Salter  Siegal

140- Nyzaya Vincent  Cleveland/HigerCalling

150- Preston Parks - Lebanon

160- Kyle Smith - Lebanon

180- Keegan Jones- Mustangs ?

HWT- Thomas Roberts - Eagle ?

Can only think of a few juinors this year that can push the middle school kids.  Noah Horst at 80 and Lawrence Madson at 85.

Predictions based on TOP 100 results.

Jake Knaff of Arlington in Memphis should make some noise. He won state at 120 last year and this year is undefeated at 130 and at some tournaments has been entered at both 130 AND 140 and has won both. Tough kid

Knaff vs Walker will be a good match for Region 5 title. He should earn top 4 finish at State

I'm not saying he won't make some noise, but those numbers are false. He was at 130 for the Region 4/5 Top 100 and took 5th. Trevor Rippy stuck everyone in less than 30 seconds, including the kid that beat Knaff 10-3 that day.

ok my bad. But he placed 1st at region 5 regional tourney today, beating the wave kid and a collierville by decision and pinned a Dixon kid.

Here is how I see it shaking out next week. Nine champions from Region 4, six champions from Region 5, and five champions from Region 3. I think the Baylor kids might have a conflict; if they dont wreste I would take Vogelpohl (NCW) at 110 and Fowler (Eagleville) at 115. I also think Hodge from Wave matches up well with Vincent at 140; could be a possible upset.

70 - Isbell (Clarksville)

75 - Cannon (Elite)

80 - Pond (HCWC)

85 - Griggs (Wave)

90 - Moultry (NCW)

95 - Dooley (Cooperhead)

100 - Pergande (NCW)

105 - Sweeney (HCWC)

110 - Reiniche (Baylor)

115 - Atchley (Baylor)

120 - Wittman (Wave)

125 - Rippy (Beech)

130 - Salter (Siegel)

140 - Vincent (HCWC)

150 - Parks (Lebanon)

160 - Smith (Lebanon)

180 - Brace  (MJ)

HWT - Walthall (Wave)

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
