From what I hear it was decided on after the season. If you think that is a fair bracket,then you are correct in that they should just let the first two go from regular season. Spring Hill and CPA were the best 2 teams but don't hand it to them on a platter.

It was decided in the District meeting which was held in the Fall of 2013.  Spring Hill and CPA still had to win to advance.  They played the best during the season so its only fair that they had the advantage.  No one forced any of the coaches to vote yes on this.

Don't know where you got your information but this bracket was drawn up the Monday before the tournament started. A normal 6 team bracket was drawn up in the fall. Oh well the best two teams advanced. Good luck to Spring Hill and CPA!

Why would the bracket be set in the fall then changed after the season before the tournament begins?  It's a conspiracy!  Darn those Raiders... I'm sure they came up with the bracket making all the other coaches vote YES on it.

Last comment on this. Never said SH had anything to do with it. It was one of the 3-6 teams that wanted it this way. SH and CPA would have been stupid not to have voted for this knowing their position of 1 and 2 was set. The fall bracket was a conventional 6 team bracket with 1 and 2 receiving byes.

If you think I am knocking SH, you are wrong. Very impressed and think they will do well from here on in.

Tennessee post season baseball is stupid from the get go.  Each district can set their own tournament format.  Play one game elimination round in regions and then a meaningless seeding game.  Another elimination game at substate and then draw names out of the hat for a double elimination tournament at state.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
