I find it odd that so many in this thread are talking about how they had this homerun "400 game winner" hire available yet no names are mentioned. Who was this homerun hire that was available?

This local hire will prove to be very good for WC. The guy can flat out coach and he knows the landscape. The kids will play hard and be competitive immediately.

Sometimes it is best to leave names out of message board talk...but I assure you the 400 game winner would have been a solid choice. Todd Wilmore contacted him twice but in the end chose to go with a local choice. The coach in question is in the hunt for a couple of jobs in the New Orleans area so yes he will find something but he had a strong interest in WC and liked the way Wilmore handled the entire process.

Well that would make two coaches that applied that have 400 wins, but the one I was told about is closer to 500, been in the State several times but has no ties to New Orleans area. But sounds like they made a choice, the guy at Boyd Christian I thought does a good job but played with the deck stacked against him there. It will be interesting to see what he does here.
