coachdub65
I thought everything went well tonight at Vernon Holtcamp Field. I thought by selling the tickets in four different areas and the two pass gates helped in getting the crowd into the stadium quickly. We did not run out of items at the concession stands, including ice and hamburgers. Many different areas selling items. Having the lights on in the baseball and softball areas helped with people being able to park in several areas. Lot of police on the scene. Had to wait a long time for the injured player to get an ambulance, prayers to him and his family. I believe things were organized What does everyone else think? Roy Dillard
Roy. You just stay at Ronnie red eye.. sounds like that's the end of town you need to be on anyhowI garuntee you dont tell me where to stay. You need to come down there and listen to that man I talk to so you can learn something. We read Murphy's book and talk about his pole. You would know a lot more about these teams than you think you do. You think im joking but im not.

possum
hey guys been awhile. Glad to hear the jamboree went well at Vernon Holtcamp field. My 9,10' and 11th grade year we use to work on that field almost every day back in the late 80s sometimes to 11 at night during the summer. it was in horrible shape when he took over the program back then. Back then they would pay us kids to maintain the schools during the summer, and Coach Holtcamp was our supervisor, it was called the JTPA program. We would clock out at 3 and work till dark sometimes after on the field and facilities. I spent more time with Coach than I did my own daddy. I think he got discouraged during his last years of coaching and was wronged by the system eliminating his teaching position. Anyway I am happy for him and his family. So how did the Tigers look last night? I am living in Florida now and we have our Jamboree next Friday except we will play a whole game. Most athletic team I have ever been part of, one kid Florida State is already showing interest in and he is just a sophomore. All I can say it is hot, humid, but fun. Anyway just catching some of my coacht friends up on my situation. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed season. From what I have read on this topic it looks as if Whitwell has really worked hard to get the season off to a great start. Go Tigers! Bledsoebtheboys
I still think Sequatchie will surprise some ppl who are doggin the Indians. We will play in every game but the 2 that worry me are Notre dame and signal cuz there so fast and strong. That will be Sequatchie toughest games. We'll see..... CoachRCHelton
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all who were a part of making the 2014 Sequatchie Valley Jamboree a success. While there were numerous people in our community who were involved, I want to specifically thank the Whitwell Quarterback Club, our Principal Teena Casseday, Assistant Principal and Director of Football Operations Paul Underwood, Director of Schools Mark Griffith, and the Marion County School Board. There are many others who contributed that worked quietly, humbly, and tirelessly to ensure a smooth-running event. We appreciate the participating schools, their coaching staffs and their administrations. Lastly we want to thank the fans from all of the participating schools, who support football and what it represents for our society, and for our young men who will be the future leadership of our country and our respective communities. Thanks to all of you!
