AA caught a break when Gibson County High

School split into two schools. Lot of homegrown talent in the southern portion of the county. Gibson County has held their own since the split but it would have been a major powerhouse in AA for years if the split hadn't occured.

Medina had a good school system and it was growing but when they agreed to build the high school it skyrocketed. Numerous new subdivisions followed. Just saying it changed basketball in Gibson County.

Very good point sls. Also my opinion talent isn't what it used to be in GC to compete in AA even if schools hadn't split. It was very helpful for GC to fall to A.

BABABA obviously you haven't seen Kristen King play from South Gibson. Come watch her play this year. The 6-0 center they have is a player as well as Scott and Lashlee. That is not counting a number of other serviceable players that would have provided immediate depth. All would have been at GC.

You won't be seeing Christen King in a South Gibson uniform this year. She transferred to Milan.

 

Now, IF Gibson Co. had the best talent from South Gibson, including Christen King, combined with what they have now and coming up, you might be talking championships in AA. As it looks now, you might only be talking championships in Single A....

I know that the coach at South Gibson has had several complaints from parents and knew King had threatened to leave but hadn't heard it was official.

GC I just got back on vacation and have been out of pocket a couple of weeks. It would have been nice if we would have got her. She is a player.

The Martin kid quit last year and she was a player. Martin and King along with the others I mentioned above would made GC some kind of tough.
