8AA 2014 Predictions

DCTiger, what makes you say that Central Magnet is moving up one day soon? Looking at their record for the last 3-4 years and I can't see any indication that their program is moving in the right direction, SMH

Way too much talent in and around the Boro for a team to finish last in the district every single season. Their soccer and baseball teams are already flourishing, and there's no doubt in my mind that eventually the same will start happening in basketball.

the Bboro has neber been as big in basketball and it has been in football and baseball on the boys side.

The Boro did take the last AAA title from west tn last season. I just can't see them sitting at the bottom of 8-AA year in and year out.

I sorta agree disagree.....say your 6'7 kid and you have a chance to play college. Do you play at Blackman,Seigal,Smyrna,Oakland...maybe even recruited to play for CPA.....or go to CM? With no core zone area to pull kids from, far better choices to play ball. In baseball, they came to play for that particular coach.

Good question capnoname, anybody have the answer. Love to see CM basketball get good like their baseball program.

I don't think DC will be doormats but it would take a few upsets to be pushing for third place. This year's team will be better than last year's, but so will LA, Cannon, and Macon.

I agree they played us tough this summer and we are prolly gonna be ranked top ten in state AAA.

If Cannon finishes above LA in the district standings, I will not post on an 8aa boys basketball thread or any team playing in this district for and entire year. Won't happen, but I will be a man of my word.
