Xander is tough as nails! He has been schooled very well in basketball. Comes from a long line of big men. Has I very high basketball IQ. He is a young soph (still growing) .

It's always nice to see some local kids getting recognized.   If I looked at that list correctly it did not mention Henderson (White Co) or Blevins (York) at all.  If those two are not even listed then I think the list may be a little suspect.

I didn't even see a list on the link I clicked, just a video of Miller.

Edit: I see the top 2015 and 2016 recruits. If that's the list you're speaking of, then there is a good reason they aren't on it.

I would choose Hayes as a Freshman over Miller anyday.

Apparently you don't follow high school BB as close as many do and you have every right to your opinion. I'm very impressed with Hayes' play as you can see by my prior post. Comparing the two is like trying to compare apples to oranges, Hayes is very quick, adds a lot to LA.s program and improves the team considerably with his addition. Miller is a solid player, makes good decisions most of the time, plays good D and can score from anywhere. He plays like his sister (that is meant to be a huge compliment) tough as nails and will not back down from anyone. Players like Miller do not show up very often. He has that special 'something'.

Agree.  2 different styles. Both aren't afraid to drive straight to the hoop which I like. Nobody was challenging Miller the last game, for whatever reason, and he made them paid for it a few times. Hayes is a pure point guard. Miller can play just about anywhere.

Captnoname,

It has been so long since posted, that I forgot how and had to start over with a new name, etc. Is there a way that we can talk off line. I'm not sure how much I can tell you but I do know one of the coaches very well. I  will be glad to talk and help in any way I can.

DCTiger,

I saw the CC/DC game and was impressed with the DeKalb team. You're getting the best guard play since I started watching 8AA ball 15 years ago. You had just to many turnovers, but the team never quit. CC's press doesn't seem all that daunting but wears other team down over time. Even East Nahville and Columbia seemed rattled at times. Oh, by the way, the kid that they call Rooster has no idea how good he really is.

. Don't believe I compared the two, simply stated my opinion on which I preferred. I've been watching these two play AAU for years. Hayes may not have the height of Miller but has speed, great shooting ability, and controls the momentum of the game. He also seems to be a very unselfish player. Also if you're trying to sell Miller on the video that was posted maybe they should have posted some clips with someone playing a little defense on him. No doubt Miller is gonna be a great ball player and can drain the 3's, but come on there was no D going on in the clips.

I haven't saw the kids play you said should be listed, but I highly doubt the list is suspect that guy is one top scouts in the country. I didn't see it but friend told me a scouting service called Future 150 has Miller rated a D1 college prospect. That's impressive

The only D1 prospect from around this area that I have seen lately is Key from CC. This sophomore has 87 points in his last four games. Now to make "rabbitranch" happy, if you want to compare apples with apples Miller isn't even in the same league. Forgot to mention Keys sweet dunks, and the fact that he is very humble. Don't want anyone to think I'm dogging Miller. He will be a great athlete.

Well your free to THINK what you want. But I took look this Future 150 site its a NATIONAL NCAA certified recruiting service. Something tells me they know way more than you me or anybody else posting on here. The scouting service the rated Miller they guy has 40 years of experience watching and ranking HS kids. So while everyone is free to post what they THINK I would think anyone with sense including myself would say they know WAY WAY more than people on here. So trying giving Miller and any kid with those accolades the respect they have earned

who do you mean by CC? I think I have mistaken this to be Cannon County. Good team, but I don't know of any D1 players there. CC probably means another high school team?
