I guarantee that Pounder is around. He bleeds purple.  As for Tis, I don't know. Maybe Knoxville bound!  My question is where is Stan?  I thought I really had him coming around to the positive purple side!

 

we need to travel well and pack out the visitors side this week. Kids looked like they really fed off the crowds excitement Friday night.  we need to get louder and rowdier though.  Kids are calling for the crowd to get up and half the folks sit there, at least stand up and clap!

Central with a win. Coach Davis will help but this is going to be the beginning of a few bad seasons for Polk I think. Not sure how much water they have left in the well right now. They've done a good job with a pretty good run but a school that big only draws from so much of a talent pool. It goes in cycles. They'll be back.

Does anyone know if the Wimberly kid was a senior last year? I believe he had 20!tackles in last years game. Kid could play also.

If you are speaking of Reno Wimberley, he is just a junior this year at DB and RB. Very good player, 6-1, 180.

Polk County fans. Where is the best place to eat prior to the game? Is the Dam Diner any count?

The Dam Diner is excellent but it's a little bit out of your way. Cross over 411 highway and stay on 64 toward the Ocoee River for about 2 miles.

I would say the Dam Deli is the best all around but if you like Italian food The Gondolier is my favorite its just about another mile or two up 64

Hardees has pretty good burgers in Ducktown and you can go to Subway or Sonic if you drive into Mccaysville Georgia. Papa's Pizza to Go is very good in Mccaysville

Who would drive all the way to basin from Harrison to eat just to drive back to Benton for the game?

I'd say polk will go 4-6 or maybe 5-5 this year, I've heard they are small in size and fewer players than normal. Having a schedule like they do playing bigger schools won't help any.

Choices very limited in Polk County. There's a Sonic in Benton also
