MountainTroll
It stings yes, but we lost to 2 very good teams. Signal is one of the top 2 or 3 teams in 4A. Kingsport DB is very good have seen them and Maryville up close, there is not much seperation at all Maryville is a little better but not by much. We have a new offense, a soph QB now lost for the season and a back up who has been playing WR. We are large up front but very slow and no experance at all. #9 and #6 have a total of 6 total offensive plays in 2 games, I think that will change. #6 had 178 yards of offense last year vs. WV and 2 TD's. It is my thinking your best play makers have got to be on the field. You got to get some blocking, though. Hope you guys rebound.

In 2012 a down maryville team (especially on defense) beat a DB team that had several D1 athletes on it handily. DB is always a solid to good team that makes the playoffs every year. Maryville runs roughshod over any team that steps out on the field with them and makes it to cookeville every single year. They are further apart than you think. If they were to meet in the playoffs it will be a good football game. Maryville would win but they are not going to run over them. Of course it's all IMO. But now that I said all this G-91 Maryville will kill them.
chattacane
You got to get some blocking, though. Hope you guys rebound. Well, If they could just stand in the way for a few seconds........ It would help. I am now at the point I would take a 5'11 215 lineman that will fight like a junkyard dog, over a 6-5 300 guy that just gets whiped every play.......... You are under the assumption that they are on the same level because your team played them both and both beat you by roughly the same margin. But you played maryville in a scrimmage and as it has been said a million times over maryville is notorious for sandbagging in scrimmages. Just to illustrate a point for ya... WB beat them in the jamboree just a few weeks ago( a glorified scrimmage) and is 0-2 right now (hopefully we get off the snide tonight!) and maryville is 3-0 having faced 3 teams that were in cookeville last year ( the cupcake schedule passive talks about) and has cruised to victory in all 3. They are miles ahead of DB. I wish I was wrong but i'm not.

CheckerboardEndzone
Oddly, I find myself pulling for both the Canes and the Owls tonight. Believe both will get it done. Owls will roll. Canes will be close til the half then they pull away and make a statement for the home crowd.

Hey from what I read Gov....Marivul got to close some holes defensively before they enter Rutherford county....yea I know they have been dominate...but a chewing out at halftime wont cut it this season...they are deep in middle tennessee..and they got a legit qb that will make the difference... I think the Canes get a much needed win tonight.
