Dang ChatterCain, them's some strong words from you.  Sucks to start the season 0-2, don't it?  We done it once thanks to you guys.  Sounds like the Stangs is in the wrong place at the wrong time. sheep1-smiley.gif

It stings yes, but we lost to 2 very good teams. Signal is one of the top 2 or 3 teams in 4A. Kingsport DB is very good have seen them and Maryville up close, there is not much seperation at all Maryville is a little better but not by much. We have a new offense, a soph QB now lost for the season and a back up who has been playing WR. We are large up front but very slow and no experance at all.

#9 and #6 have a total of 6 total offensive plays in 2 games, I think that will change. #6 had 178 yards of offense last year vs. WV and 2 TD's. It is my thinking your best play makers have got to be on the field.

Every year we get this WV has improved story after starting the season with cupcakes and every year when WV gets into the meat of their schedule they're still the same ole mustangs. So I'll wait till they actually beat someone of note before declaring the Mustangs improved.

I suppose we will find out tomorrow night

OK, this sounds weird but I think WV is a playoff team.

 

My four from 5aaa are

 

Ooltewah

Cleveland

WV

East Hammy

 

If there is four

If East Ham drops this game, we will not make the playoffs. THIS IS A MUST WIN GAME! Each and every player and coach knows it. After this game we host Riverdale enough said. Then we host the Owls enough said, then we go to McMinn that would be 50/50, then host Soddy and Rhea. Rhea will be an issue then go to Bradley. Its no easy road. We win this game and get that taste in our mouth we have a shot to reach the playoffs.............. Yea its all on the line this week.

 

Most of you know I like to poor mouth, but I am going out on a limb here........ Yea it could be 42-14 but it will not be Misstangs with the 42, it will be the Can's! Where are you BearHater! Don't hit and run that's not what we do here in 5AAA!

Frankly, based on what I saw in the jamboree and read since I think WV may have a very good chance to win this game. But I don't see a lop sided score either way. May be surprised, but....

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
