I'm just saying don't fall asleep on us. About 1/3 of the team is sophomores and we start a freshmen qb while only losing by a point to Jackson Co, in a game we should have won. I do expect Gville to run away with the game, just not right off from the bat.

We are by far and away nowhere near the worst team in the state anymore, haven't been for a while. We won last week and should should beat Cannon Co., Pickett Co., and Clinton Co.,Ky. From what few people I've talked too we should beat Clay Co. too so I expect around a 4-6 or a 5-5.

4-6 or 5-5 for Red Boiling Springs would be quite an accomplishment. Sounds like Coach Shoulders is doing a good job.

Gville should win by a lot, but RBS has made notable improvement the last few years under Coach Shoulders.

RBS does start a lot of sophomores. That means they're still a year or two away.

However, if they can find a way to beat Clay or Watertown, they'll be 5-5 and probably in the playoffs.

That would be an accomplishment.

We know EXACTLY how those shoes feel - NOT good!! Good luck Croz and the younger players will get PT and that will build depth. It is going to help SC later in the season as young players have had to step up, some not even on the radar, #91 ( Tuck - def. tackle). But, he left the field on crutches after the game.

Scoot.....I think ( not positive) that #91 is Nick Tayse.

I'm a proud alumnus of RBS, and I had the opportunity to return there for my first football game in 20+ years for our 30-year reunion a couple of weeks ago against Jackson County.  I came away impressed with the football team, Coach Shoulders, and the facilities.  That field looks like a fairway on a nice golf course.  I think we grew corn on it in the off-season when I played there. RBS put themselves in position to win that game on several occasions.  They looked and acted like a good team; I hope that they can surprise some of those taking them lightly.  I heard Jackson County beat the bulldogs by 40+ last year; they should be counting their blessings that they got that win - by 1.  Go Dogs!

I hope everyone gets better and has a speedy recovery. My in laws moved live in SC and I moved to SC last year when I got married and we all were going to come to the game but I didn't get done with work in time and it was halftime and crowded by the time we got there so we just drove on and as we drove through town we heard the life flight. It's always ashamed to see the kids get injured, I know both teams had them last week....I just hope everyone gets well and is back on the field soon.

If you're at the game Friday night hit me up. Coach Shoulders ask me to announce the games for him this year so I shouldn't be too hard to find....

Where is Sale Creek?

As BigDave said, it is in Hamilton County in the upper North West corner above Soddy-Daisy.  They used to be a perennial power in Class A basketball in the 70s and 80s with a Hall of Fame Coach Don Burton.  They had plenty of speed and generally larger student numbers than South Pittsburg but for some reason never had a football team until recently but had discussed it off an on for over 30 years.
