Cheatham County will beat MLK in the opening round and will play Pearl-Cohn for the opportunity to advance to substate.

I know what the scenarios could be and that isn't a giving as pearl has won 20 games and split with east this season. What I'm asking is does anyone think cheatham or the other three can get out this year. I'm a cheatham fan, just not sure they are as athletic this season. Thoughts?

10AA was down this year. One real good team in East and one decent team in Pearl. Maplewood is down. MLK is average at best (beating another very average Lipscomb team). 10AA is better than 9AA to be sure, but Cheatham has a shot to advance (although they clearly are not as good as last year). I think East is the only team capable of advancing to State and that won't be easy with Creekwood and CPA out there.

Cheatham County's season ended last night with a loss to Pearl-Cohn. The Cubs season concludes with a record of 23-4 in what many felt would be a "rebuilding" year. An overall mark of 99-18 over the last 4 years is remarkable. Hats off to Coach Stuart and the kids on continuing what's become a season full of celebration for sports fans in Ashland City.
