Preseason Predictions for 7a & 8a

I thought she was a senior last year, but I was not too sure.  Watertown and Pickett should be about even.  I don't think any team will compete with JC or Crange, and I believe JC stills atleast one from Crange.

 

Don't see JC stealing one from CRange, now the Range may give them one if they fail to show up, but they have so much returning and the growth in the 2 Freshmen from last year, I don't see the games even being within 12 points.

i agree with hitme, i think clarkrange wins the district easily. saw jackson co. get killed this summer by lebanon. prolly the worst jc team i hav ever seen. but im sure coach brown will have them pretty good by tourny time,

Trousdale County is way too high on that list, Watertown girls are very good and should win that district very easily.

A Goodpasture parent told me that they may not even have enough girls to have a basketball team. They lost several seniors and several of the good underclass girls quit the team.

I agree I think coach Price gets Watertown to perform very well this year. After talking with him he's very excited because he's had this group four years. He's, IMO, the best girls HS coach in Wilson County.

I don't see Clarkrange losing a district or region game. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they win a championship in Murfreesboro this season.

I thought Watertown lost a lot from last year?  Who do they have coming back?

Watertown has a very good coach and a great group coming back. Goodpasture is very young. Watertown should win that district.

I think District will be between Trousdale and Goodpasture.  What about Gordonsville?  Know one saying much about them?

Watertown lost one senior guard everyone else is returning, should be playing for distrct title for the few years, these girls have it all.

Goodpasture lost Hassle and others. They are young and not especially talented right now.

 

Coach Price at Watertown has said this is his best team yet so I'm taking him at his word.

Well its almost basketball time again, my favorite time of the year.  I see the CR people are back on here in full force and with good reason this year.  They should be the favorite to win it all this year, i don't see them losing too many games during the regular season except for the one at Gainesboro.  PC will finish a solid 3rd right behind Jackson County and it should be all district 7A in the semi's of the region.  8 A's number one seed does have an outside shot at winning a region home game but after that its over as usual.  good luck to all the teams this year and to the young athlete's playing the game we all love to watch!

I'll see Goodpasture in a scrimmage Thursday. Our team will start 1 sr 1 jr 2 freshmen and 1 8th grader. Goodpasture, as most average teams should, will beat us soundly if they are going to challenge for their district title.
