Is Pickett Co girls that good this year to be picked ahead of Jackson Co.

Yes the Lady Bobcats are that good and I think they will join Clarkrange at Murfreesboro.  The think the Lady Buffaloes will win their 9th gold ball with ease this year after what happened to them last year down there. Maybe next year it will the Pickett Co. getting their 6th gold ball.

Coach Smith has done a great job up there in Byrdstown and Matt is doing a good job with the middle and elementary school kids,  PC is going to be a force this year for sure but in a year or two i think they will return to the power house they used to be, however i still believe Jackson County has 2 more years left in them before we see any real decline.

Well its almost basketball time again, my favorite time of the year. I see the CR people are back on here in full force and with good reason this year. They should be the favorite to win it all this year, i don't see them losing too many games during the regular season except for the one at Gainesboro. PC will finish a solid 3rd right behind Jackson County and it should be all district 7A in the semi's of the region. 8 A's number one seed does have an outside shot at winning a region home game but after that its over as usual. good luck to all the teams this year and to the young athlete's playing the game we all love to watch!

I'm hearing a lot of good things out of H2O town and I don't think anyone in 8a will compete with them. I would watch out for them in the region tourney as they may very well meet up with JC in the region semis....

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
