NCS @ Cheatham  - The machine that is NCS takes this one by 28+.

ER @ Richland - ER by 7.

WHH @ JB - WHH by 21+.

HC @ NW - Predict a close game, but pulling for HC.

Harpeth @ CA - CA on a winning streak.

Gleason @ McEwen - Gleason as McEwen is almost as bad as Collinwood this season.

I usually wait till later in the week to make my pics. But here goes.

NCS 45-14 over Cheatham

ER over Richland 34-10

WHH 45-13 over JB

NW 34-10 over HC

CA 34-24 over Harpeth

Gleason 21-10 over McEwen

I would like to see HC and McEwen get wins this week but I think they are both over matched. I heard JB has some players out this week and I've seen WHH speed in person. ER is playing a winless Richland. NCS will score as many as they want and Cheatham gave up 63 last week. I got to pull for my Cougars to defeat Harpeth. It's our homecoming and CA coaching staff will be reminding our players all week about getting shutout by Harpeth last year at there place.

Almost game time! The Cougars will be ready and waiting for the Indians to roll in. It's homecoming night for CA. There will be lots of tailgating. The homecoming activities will be held before the game as not to be a distraction. CA will be outnumbered and outsized. Harpeth shut a depleted CA squad out last year. I sure the Cougar coaching staff has reminded the players all week about that game. It should be a good one to watch.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
