Upperman Vs. Jackson County

So you are trying to tell us this kid is an all star when Jackson Co. beat them by multiple touchdowns??? If he was actually that good he could have beat them all by himself. Livingston alone has 4 players that would make him look average......come on USC kind of blowing him up aren't you?

If Clay Co had anyone that could catch it they would have won the game. This kid isn't your local 6' 180 QB that is a good athlete. This kid is 6'7 and has a cannon for an arm that hit his receivers in the hands all night long with people hanging on him. I've seen York and McCoin at Livingston, and Livingston does NOT have 1 kid on the team that is a better QB than this kid it's not even close. I am not prejudice or partial to any of these teams and I'm not putting down any of the other fine young men that play. This kid is different guys. Go watch him and tell me I'm wrong.

Go watch him they are very good athletes this kid is different. Trust me in this!

Tough act to follow compared to the two mentioned with full rides to TTU(McCoin) and ETSU(York). I will say Jennings and Carlise will be headed to the next level to play. Best ever in the area would have to be Brocks dad Danny McCoin. 6'4 195 D-1 Cin. Was I think 4th or 5th in the heisman race in '87. Also was drafted by the Detroit Lions.

The kid is a real player, he's better than any around here and thats a fact including the McCoin kid and the York kid. Neither one of them is taller than 6'.  They are good athletes that played QB this kid is a 6'7 quarterback that can make all the throws and he's very athletic, has good speed when he takes off.  Don't be a homer on this one, go see the kid and you tell me.  He's playing on a bad team so i'm not sure how good he will look at Clay Co. but you put this kid on a team like LA or Cookeville and he makes them a legitimate contender for the state championship. As for Danny, well that's a different story, time will tell on that.  There is no doubt if he gets the right kind of coaching he will be at a large D-1 university.

The kid's name is Josh Endicott & he's from Kannapolis, North Carolina. You can look him up on you tube.

And he did visit several different schools in the area before deciding to attend Celina, where yes, his family is from.

I'm sure that was due to family, but also CCHS lost their starting QB to injury a couple of weeks ago, and was set to start a Freshman against JCHS.

Any speculation about next year would be purely that.

I agree with Big Boy on watching the youtube video about the footwork. My thing is comparing a soph after 1 game to the McCoin's or York is ridiculous. I don't know all the offical stats or measurments on Brock, but he is getting lots of playing time at TTU as a redshirt freshman. York is on a automatic redshirt at ETSU but listed at 6'2 195 4.5 40, but more like 6'1 1/4 190. CYork was the fastest kid I ever seen around here with pads on. The thing with York is the 74 td's in a season(2700+ rushing,2600+ passing), 9 td's in a 2nd round playoff game and over 600 yards, or 128 career td's all are state records and the playoff game is a national record. Hard to go ahead a say this kid will be that good at the high school level based on height and 1 game. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

I can't imagine the culture shock the guy must be feeling right now. To go from a city of 45,000 & high school of 1,350 to a town of 1,500 & school of 275. Wow...

But as far as the UHS/JCHS game is concerned... Hope JC can give em a good game, but I think UH wins by a couple of scores. JC still has a good chance to win their own district though.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
