3A Playoff picture

You have to love it if you're a fan of Union City,Alcoa,Fulton or Maryville. Nobody will even challenge you during the season.

Might add Trousdale to that list if the get Kenyan Harper back before the playoffs.

when has schools crying about playing you stopped yall from anything. And under the rules, you can choose to move up, but not down. So if yall jump to 4a, they would have no choice but to play you.

We have one of the smallest 3A enrollments, just barely above the A-AA cutoff for all other sports, so there's no legit reason for us to. We play the cards we're dealt.

Big Dave pretty sure Maryville challenged Alcoa and won. But if you are just talking district teams you are correct. Other 3a schools not challenged in the district would at least include CPA. I'm sure more are out there.

Those are some good cards to play. One of the all time great coaches of tn, athletes all over the field, and good support. I won't knock y'all for playing where you are put but the competition would be greater in my opinion. 4a would be even better.

if not mistaken, you can play up in just football. Would be a shame to have the new field and 600k jumbotron and hosting playoff games verse Midway.

They will but up the street you got Maryville/Blackman and Fulton/Catholic....that Alcoa game won't generate much attention. Be hard to convince a kid with d-1 talent not from there to come play some 2a ball. I think 4a would be a great fit. Lots of good competition in that area in that class.

Midway is a top 10 team,they're no pushover. Alcoa is dominant in 3A but they can't afford to take any Playoff team lightly.

I agree, that why I put them in the playoff scenario, but a far cry from Fulton, Greeneville, Catholic, Signal....could you imagine all 31 kids warming up seeing Alcoa's 90 plus at the other end. Edited September 24, 2014 by UpperCumberlandMan

Are you implying that we recruit or something? We RAISE D-1 talent in Alcoa, and some others transfer in after seeing our success. Nice try!
