I hope the coaches have leaned they need to leave "the kid" at qb. IMO - it would be nuts to sit him just because the sr is ready to come back. He's 2-0.

Like I said I'm not gonna complain about "the kid" playing right now because it will only benefit us down the road. But let's not kid ourselves... The biggest reason we have won these last two games is Devin Fair. Before the Heritage game he hadn't gotten a single carry and in the last two games he has rushed for 448 yards and 6 tds. Before he started playing RB we had no running game whatsoever, we couldn't even get 100 yards rushing in a game as a team and he comes in and gets 200 yards + by himself two games in a row. Devin Fair brought this team back from the edge of oblivion and thanks to him our playoff hopes are very much alive.

Him, APB, Bigearl, and all the heritage fans had to be licking their chops when they were up in the closing minutes but when WB won on a fieldgoal in the final minute their hopes were crushed. They all went into hiding after that game but you know as well as I do that they would still be talking about it if they had won. There hasn't been a more glorious victory since D-Day.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
