Coalfield will definitely be a tough game for anyone but I think you have a great shot at 7-3 give or take a game either way heck you could be 9-1. We still gotta play Friday & from what I've saw & heard Oakdale is definitely moving the right direction. I'm tickled to death to see some wins coming your way. I'd love to see y'all get a home playoff game! Rockwood was packed, a home playoff game would be awesome!

You are probably right, but coalfield is starting at least 4 freshmen and I have heard playing a couple more a lot. So hopefully we can still one from them this year. They are always tough and well coached though. Heck 7-3 would be a great year too.

I didn't mean to imply that y'all couldn't end up better than 7-3, hopefully you didn't take it that way, I apologize if it came across that way. If y'all don't win another or if you win out the program is showing tremendous growth. Hopefully it will continue. I've posted many times the respect I have for the players & coaches at oakdale. I've seen many games where there were only 2 or 3 players on the sideline & the starting 11 played every snap on offense, defense and special teams & not show any signs of letting up or any unsportsmanlike actions even when being down by an insurmountable deficit. That takes tremendous pride & heart & I'll always tip my hat to that. If that kind of pride, heart & effort continues & the program & community continue to buy in then I expect to see more good things in the future.

I did not take it that way at all. Listen I am a realist and you are exactly right. 6-4 would be a great year for us!

The Mud Buggies (Indians) will be out in force tonight....!  Not a good night for the pass (Eagles), although the field should hold up nicely.  I expect us to jump on the scoreboard early and often.  Oakdale will have to get past the nerves a whole lot quicker this week, or it is going to be an even longer night than the one they had last Friday.  Everyone play safe.....and hard!

Game Day.  Rain. Good news for a ground and pound attack.  It looks as if the rain is pulling out this afternoon and none will be falling during the game.  Things could get slick but that will not dampen the night.  Gonna be about a 30 point game.  The OHS DBs play like two weeks ago it could be more due to defensive scores.  All in all good game to watch.  Oakdale's improvement will be a delight to see.  I expect Oneida to try multiple offensive looks in order to see how open the offense can be over the coming weeks.  I would think players will be moved around some on offense to try and plug some void with playmakers.  Let's sit back and enjoy.  Wishing a safe trip to all Oakdale fans on the approach and return home!  See you HERE!

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
