34ME or a mod can you change the title, mustang fans like us and Rebel fans know there is a bye week before the game but everyone else on here might not, I guess the title change could say Week 8 Huntingdon at McKenzie.

McKenzie has improved a lot and I know they will be ready to play us that said I think we have got too many weapons.  Game will be close at halftime then we will wear them down big time.  Mustangs by 21.

That's how I met Duckman, posting on the McKenzie-Huntingdon thread since 03. No matter how nasty people got, Duckman always had class. I'm still pulling for McKenzie against Huntingdon, and really enjoy it when McKenzie puts a knocking on them. Trouble is, the Horses have too many guns for the Rebs this year. Huntingdon by 14 or even more. The only thing that will keep it close is some of those long sideline passes McKenzie will make in the 2nd half when they are down. Some coaches call that Comerball.

You haven't enjoyed to many Huntingdon/McKenzie games then. There's been very few knockings from mckenzie in the 80 plus years they've played. Edited by horse

Here is a link so you guys can see it if you havent yet.

Both Huntingdon and McKenzie are both in playoffs according to the map as of now.  So anyway I think both can still make it but this game will determine it for sure so it is very important  both teams are prepared physically and mentally.  Whoever wins will have more home games but since the way playoffs are last few years overall records hurt as well.  So both wont have a whole lot of home games seeing as more team have only one loss both of these teams have 2 and loser of this would have 3 at best.

Im not sure if winner would get byeweek or not, but it looks like they might only get one home game.  Anybody wanna give their thoughts on this and I might be wrong about this I just wanna discuss this.  We got 2 weeks till this football game and it effects both Huntingdon and McKenzie fans so everybody should at least be curious in these scenarios.  So what are your thoughts Rebel and Mustang fans.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
