Intra-County rivalry. Not to soon to start posting.

     1. Who returns from fall break with the worse hangover.

     2. Where do the coaches go to scout on this Friday.

     3. Move right along to your predictions... dont be shy.

Both staff's will either be at Community or Moore County.   Strong possibility they each have staff members at both games.  That would be my bet.   Eagleville has Moore County and Community left, so I'd assume they would go to the Forrest Community game.   They will definitely see Community and possibly see Forrest again in the playoffs.   They are a 2A program so logically they go see the 2A contest.   MTCS will be scouting both games I'd assume.  They have a toughest remaining schedule with the 3 toughest district games all coming at season's end.  I don't think they run the table, but I'm not sure who are how many of the three get them.

Of MTCS 7 wins, three of those came against teams that have yet to win a game.  They haven't even played a team with a winning record yet.  That being said, they are much improved over last year and should be all the Eagles can handle.

The Eagleville losses have come to good teams early.  Their offense has struggled to put points on the board but seems to have progressed the last few weeks.  The defense has been fairly solid all year and has really come together as of late.

I look for a good close game with Eagleville's defense taking charge and putting too much pressure on the MTCS quarterback for him to handle.

17-14 Eagleville

Every team has to play the schedule they are dealt. At every level your going to get some teams that just aren't very good. MTCS is much improved over last year & the most impressive part is their defense. Their front 8 is very impressive. In the past if you punched them in the mouth early, you could control the 2nd half. This is the first team in 4 years that I have seen that will stand in there in take the punch & punch back for 48 min. Each staff has an extra week to prepare. The key for Eagleville will be to sustain drives and eat clock. This is where other teams have struggled. MTCS offense is very good and can score quickly. If Winn gets time in the pocket, he can make any pass on the field & has really good options at WR. Coach Shambaugh has done a great job getting this team to buy in to his philosophy. These seniors were 1-19 in their first 2 years of HS football. It's pretty incredible that this group is where they are now. Because it is a rivalry, it should be close, but only if Eagleville can run time off the clock. If they don't, MTCS will put up points, and lots of them.

Buddha, everybody knew if you just kept hitting MTCS the last few years we didn't have the mental toughness to withstand it.....it didn't matter how good you were. Now they do. I'm sure you haven't seen MTCS play a down yet this year, but I can assure you that the coaches who have seen film or played the Cougars know that the 7-0 record is not a joke.
