I'm excited about this week. I feel encouraged over a couple of things I've heard from the team. They are very focused and ready to play. Sounds like it's gonna be a good one. I want a fight with some hard hiting and good ole smash mouth football. I'm sure there will be a huge crowd on hand and plenty of tailgating going on before the game. Go Tornadoes.

If I didn't have to be at the McKenzie/Westview game, I would be at this game.  This is for sure the game of the week in West Tennessee if not the state.  We have played both and it should be a good one.  I give the edge to UC just because of the line.  Averaging around 270+ and agile is a a killer.  However, Peabody has some very speedy backs and with the rifle arm of Kendric Malone, TP is hard to defend.

Should be a classic!

JDOGG80....Do you really think this years Tornadoes could have beaten either of the 97 or 2000 Tornadoes ??...

This years tornado team could have beaten many older teams. "Special Elite" teams come through every now and then. SP in 1999 and 2007 were those type. Trousdale in 1998 and 2005 were those type. Many teams win gold balls, but only a few select teams along the way are in that "Elite" club. This 2014 UC team is one of those.

You can hope for a good one and this one will be better than several you've had. It won't matter in the end. I stick by my prediction early in the season. Only 1, 1A team can stay within 35 of Union City and no 2A team on your schedule can stay closer than 21 on a good night.

Elite is a understatement.  They are fluid and smooth.  If anyone beats them, well, they won't.  UC will beat themselves if they lose.

I will have to agree. I find myself qestioning everything as to how good this team actually is. I've just never seen a team so dominat. I constantly ask myself and others "Are we that good or is everyone else just not so good?" I think maybe we are pretty good and much better at what we do compared to teams in the past. I think the offense is awesome but the defense is much improved. in the past we have been weak on oass defense but the tables have turned. Our DBs are doing a great job and the pressure we put on QBs is crazy. LC had one of the quickest I have seen in a long time and he was runnin for his all night long. So that is my opinoin.

I'm just not ready to go there...Those two UC teams I mentioned entered the state championship games vs Chatt. Tyner and Alcoa 14-0 and ranked #1 in the state vs the toughest 2A schedule in the state...That's a forum for another time...This UC team is very, very good though....

Heard a dirty rumor last night, heard that Trenton qb wasn't playing in this game anyone heard this?

Oh Man I hope it's not true. I want the best you have on the field. I want a fight. Oh and for the record I wouldn't share such information on the T unless I was trying to lead someone asrtay.

    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
