We are definitely better than earlier in the season when we faced Sequatchie. On Marion's level? I don't know about that. I'm a realist and its going to be tough next week. Sequatchie beat SP by a few points and Boyd beat SP by a few points. This game is a pickem. Boyd gets the slight nod for home field advantage.

Maybe I'll fire up the hurricane machine. Make it a little more interesting.  :popcorneater:

Game day. It has been a slow week of talk. Where have you been Indian? Less enrollment talk more football talk.

It should be a good game, but I think the Bucs leave the swamp tonight victorious.

Boyd offense starting to click since injured guys are back. #6 adds big play capabilities that we haven't had in a while. Game will have to won by #10 passing to #86 and #21 to get early lead and possibly getting SC to get out of comfort zone and force them to pass. If game tight in second half, advantage goes to SC with the pounding run game. Our big guys (new 320lb 8th grader helps) in middle of DL have to get some push to disrupt those veer dive plays, make QB pull the ball, and go wide where we have advantage of speed on defense. Boyd's early schedule has created some mental toughness hopefully to win these type of games.

BB is a dangerous team to play from here on out. They have speed to burn

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
