REBELRON
Webb will not be easy for Catholic to beat. I think Catholic wins a close one. I am hoping Webb wins.

Vols12345678
This is a rivalry of streaks. Starting in the 80's, Webb had a 14 game winning streak. Then in the early 2000's, Catholic broke the streak and started one of their own for 7 straight until 2009 when Webb beat Catholic 21-10. Since then, it has been very lopsided in Webb's favor. Catholic has been down the past 5 years and Webb has had some of their stronger teams. This year it has really evened back out. Besides maybe two games in the past 12 years, this game has always been very close, and I see it being that way Thursday night. I don't see either team being able to stop the other. Catholic's pass offense will give Webb trouble, and Catholic will have a tough time stopping the Wing T with Beeler running the show and Georgia Tech commit Brant Mitchell lined up in the backfield. It is going to be a very physical game. Just like most of the time, all of Webb's players will be going both ways. We will see if the Spartans can last for 4 quarters. I have not seen Catholic play in person so it is hard to make a prediction. They haven't really been tested all year. Webb starting out their season with Maryville and Baylor will really help Webb in this game. No way Catholic will be as physical or overall better than either one of those teams. It is going to be a great High School atmosphere for one of the best rivalries in the state.
Vols12345678
Is Hunter Green starting for Webb? No. I am guessing he is the freshman transfer from Bearden. He is the back up. Brock Beeler is the starter at QB.
QSouth89
No. I am guessing he is the freshman transfer from Bearden. He is the back up. Brock Beeler is the starter at QB. I was wondering, because the paper on Saturday said that Green had 135 passing yards. I agree with you, I think it'll be a very close game, much different than last year when Catholic was missing a lot of starters due to injuries. I was at Catholic's practice on Sunday and I was surprised at how physical it was. This time of year coaches don't hit as much but I'm sure the coaching staff is anticipating and preparing for a physical game. It's strange that this rivalry is about streaks. Spartan4Life
Man I am so excited for this game! Catholic looks GOOD. Makes me nervous as a former Webb player but I seriously doubt this will be a blow out folks. In either direction. Webb has played their toughest two games: Maryville Baylor Catholic has yet to. Their toughest opponents are coming up however. Webb Alcoa Fulton- Somewhere in the playoffs. Should be a good one!

I have to agree with you, it will be a contrast of different styles but I don't see a blow out. It'll be close. Saw some video of Webb and their offensive line is impressive. Very physical team with a lot of seniors who are use to winning. Catholic is still young and has some players new to this rivalry. If intensity can't be matched ouch.
