Moon dog, I don't think utk is insulting Clarksville. They did luck out. On paper, clarksville, Houston, Ravenwood, and Hardin Valley are the four best teams. 3 of the four are on one side of the bracket while Clarksville is alone on the other.

Houston is also undefeated I believe, so they deserved that draw as much as Clarksville. They did luck out by avoiding Hardin valley or Ravenwood in the semis.

Im not sure whether this thing is truly seeded or not (it obviously appears not to be), but having Hardin Valley and Ravenwood play in a quarterfinal when they are the 3rd and 4th ranked team (online) makes no sense at all. A better draw would have been:

Collierville and Hardin Valley

Clarksville and Oakland

Ravenwood and Dobyns Bennett

Houston and Siegel

Or something along those lines, but I believe this even puts all teams coming from the same region on opposite sides.

Clarksville played in Houston's Rivals Tournament for the second straight year. This year, they played Arlington, Baylor and St. Georges.  Houston may have played one other team before defeating a tired Farragut team who was playing their third tough match. If Clarksville and Houston had played on Saturday, we might be talking about only one undefeated team. Also, I think Baylor would have preferred that, Clarksville would have felt better about the money spent seeking top competition and Farragut would have been able to compete on a much more level playing field.

Though the draw is blind and Clarksville does seem in a fortunate position, Perhaps it is not luck but karma which has loaded the bottom bracket for Houston.

I watched most of the four AAA games. Here is my assessment.

1.I think Clarksville's performance over Oakland was the most impressive. Oakland just could not match the speed of Clarksville and the their passing game was exceptional.

2. Houston dominated the possession and attack for almost the whole game against Siegel. Siegel's defensive line played well but just could not hold out against the constant pressure.

3. Ravenwood's win against Hardin Valley was a good one. They dominated the first half and were up 2-0. They looked a little fatigued in the second half and Hardin Valley closed the gap 2-1. Ravenwood finished the game with two breakaway goals late when the defense was pressing forward. #18 for Ravenwood was the best player I saw today.

4. Collierville won 2-1. It was a hard fought win. Nothing really jumped out in that game to me from either team. It was back and forth.

I think Clarksville will defeat Collierville soundly. And I think Ravenwood vs. Houston will be a whale of a game. I'll stick to my original picks and go with Houston.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
