Yep it is fine. See my son, who graduated two years ago, lived in Cheatham the whole time he was at NCS. Now when he played for Lansdell his freshman year and they only won two games, nobody cared if he lived in Cheatham, even the Harpeth fans because they were beating us. Now that we are winning, everyone seems concerned about where the players are from. Why weren't they concerned when NCS was the automatic W on their schedule?

Yea it is funny how no one cared or talked about how unfair it was when NCS was the worst team in the district a few years back.

It goes a lot further back than ncs, Cwood back in the nineties went undefeated in the regular season three years in a row and was dominating 1a only to get put out of the playoffs all three years by CPA. There wasn't a public school in 1a that could hang with them! Edited by wildcat89

CPA, USJ and Ezell Harding. All were beatdowns. It was rediculous.

When you get on these threads and single kids out for being good and post how they are going to play here or there after high school and then people come to watch and they're not what they were built up to be then dont get mad when you hear their opinion. I don't think he was bashing on the kids but giving his opinion on them.

At the same time he has given the boys some motivation, not that 35 needs any, for the next two weeks. 50 is a big boy but that's it, he's weak and over his head if he's going to play in the sec, that's my opinion.[/quote

I believe I heard Kirk Herbstreit give a shout out to #67, Nashville's own Alex Givens as he threw a block to spring an Ole Miss touchdown last night. Nashville Christians former #50 is battling for the starting job as a red shirt freshman. I thought he held up well against a top 5 team for a weak kid that's over his head. That's just my opinion.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
