No. That would be Gary Darden that beat us.

Not sure who Gary Darden is. But, I remember the last time that Maryville and Whitehaven played. Current Ole Miss Rebel RB Mark Dodson led the Tigers over the Rebels and won their first Gold Ball. They have their sights set on State Title 2 this year. I have nothing but respect for George Quarles, his staff, and his program at Maryville. He is a true living legend in Tennessee High School Football.

Anybody that thinks they know anything about Maryville Football, knows nothing about Maryville football until you've seem them play live. GQ is hands down the best high school coach in the nation. Some say Ranklin left Riverdale because of enrollment and rezoning. I say he left because he knew the only way he would win State in the future was to go somewhere he would not have to beat GQ to it.

 

He can take his and beat yours or your and beat his.

 

Not to mention he's a class act!

We have a game this week that has our full attention.

As does Whitehaven. I am not part of either team. So, I can look as far ahead as I want. Don't make this out to be more than it is. But, you can count on this much... If and when Whitehaven makes it to the State Championship game the following week Maryville will have to play a full four quarters to get the win. Whitehaven has always had the confidence but now with the experience of playing for multiple gold balls in the last 5 years, the stage will not be too big for them.

Yes you are right you won those games. I do not think you dominated any of those games like you do in your division. Matter of fact I think Smyrna beat themselves. They missed a field goal in the last seconds of that game from the 10 yard line that would of won the game. Their leading tackler did not even play in that game. he had hand surgery. Mr Robinette got knocked out of the game near halftime with a concussion. So he could not even take a whole game of hard hitting. LOL Try it every game of the season hits like that week in and week out.. Smyrna's running back was even limping at the start of the game bad ankle and he got MVP of the game, Maryville could not stop him. LOL you dominated them didn't you.

I see anger management in your future.

Great Pic! Don't get me started about officials. The team that I am involved with had the worlds worst experience with one this year. He plagued us in two different games. In the 2nd one he ejected our Head Coach. He was later re-instated prior to the next weeks game.
