Nu, how would you describe the new base formation?  Split backs? one back?  shotgun? tight end? receivers?  etc.  What is your understanding at this early point in time of the the basic formations we will use?

Sorry guys I'd love to say but I'm not going to be the one who let's the Wildcat out of the bag. I don't believe Coach G would appreciate that. I will say there will be RB's in the backfield, QB under center and wide outs on both sides.

Gotcha.  Guess we will all see very soon in spring ball.

Nu, how has the offseason workouts gone?  I saw # 11 on Sunday and he looked alot bigger and stronger than last season.  Are you seeing noticeable gains on Logan and the others?

Big changes in strength from several of the guys. Obviously guys like 11, 35, 34 and 66 have blown up in the weight room and there are several of the young guys that have really turned it up as well

Logan has gone from 6'2" 178lbs at the end of last season to 6' 21/2" 205lbs and put 10 yards on his long throw to 65yards.

I believe the "Night of Champions" this year is on Thursday the 16th and all are invited to see the progress of the strength training this year. Make plans to come out and watch these young men show you their progress over the past several months.

RWR !!!!

So, let me get this straight lol....No Wing-T, but a new offensive design? Gotcha. Thank you for all of the news you provide.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
