Volleyball Rumors

Here's a juicy rumor. Catholic will just have parents coach on an interim basis for a year while they do an exhaustive search. Also, Bearden is hiring a former college coach who is moving in from out of state. Several other jobs opening up as well.

Can anyone verify this? Ktruth, have you heard any of this? You seem to be well-connected.

That would be interesting to have a Catholic parent as an interim coach.  Most parents at a lot of high schools seem to think they know more than the coaches anyway.  Maybe that is the way to go for the future.  The AD's would have less complaints for a girls sport and that would make things easier for them.  Would not help volleyball but.......

Bearden didn't hire anyone. The rumors are terrible. Bearden has a good hold on what they are doing. Don't worry

My daughter is at Bearden and hasn't heard anything.  An out of town, former college coach with no club connections would be perfect.

Sounds like Bearden is in the process and we will find out in the next 2 months.

Was told Catholic has placed its volleyball opening on the TSSAA website and seems to have a possible English position open for that coach.  Any takers?

That won't happen at Catholic. Parents rule that place.

Hardangle. Isn't that a shame? That parents run the place over there. Why do you think that is? Is it because they pay tuition so they feel entitled to a say?
