Region Duals... Bradley Or Cleveland ?

First off, lets be fair here, WC did beat Soddy last year in the semis. Mid TN does have some pretty good teams. Its not hard to tell who the top 4 D1 teams in mid tn are

1. Bradley

2. Cleveland

3 WC

4. Soddy

Second, nobody's being "cheated" out of anything. That is the way the regions aligned. Its a crappy situation where three of the top 5 teams in the state happened to be in the same region, but nobody is cheating.

No one said CHEATING! A team is getting cheated out of their chance to compete at state duals. In 2007 Soddy wasn't in Bradley or Cleveland's region. The power houses had some separation.

These other schools got the small class division, what more separation do you need? Does it need to be like Ga. or Ala. 5 and 6 divisions to make people happy? I'm not trying taking anything away from Wilson Central at all they are a good team with a good program, but they don't have as tough of a region as BCHS SDHS CHS WVHS does. Even with Traditional some weight classes region finals match ups are state finals matches and possibly a ranked kid who would place at state that wont be able to go. So if whoever OR TSSAA wants to look at fair or whatever look at that. I agree with if you are going to be the best you have to beat the best! Also look at this though, if the best isn't at the state tourney it makes us as a state look and feel weak!

    • Gibson County will be good next year as well. The five girls that didn't start last year are all solid and we have Micah Hart's sister coming up this year. We  will be very competitive especially late in the year. May lose some this summer getting girls reps and trying to figure things out but we are going to be good.
    • Dyersburg will be really good for a while. Their JV is loaded as well. South Gibson ought to be much better with four really good players coming up from an undefeated  Jr. High Team. Also will have 3 players back from knee injuries last year. They will be a handful especially late. Dyersburg District right there with the Upperman District with quality teams.
    • Numbers are down everywhere in HS sports. Bradford with a great tradition for sure. Never know with every school about these numbers.
    • Somehow it got removed sounds like you got the scoop based off your post on the other thread but I still find that hard to believe
    • That could be true but I find it hard to believe a school would stick their neck out like that for that type of kid. They gain nothing out of it.
