The seeds it's showing are not real seeds. They are simply the ones that, when arranged in the classic 1-32 17-16 etc. fashion, yield the same kind of bracket we've always seen. (Or so it appears to me anyway...) The only ones that match traditional seeding are the ones awarded to those who are both returning place winners and region champions.

I wondered about this. In 126 for example there are 6 returning medalist in the upper half of the bracket and 1 in the lower.

Why do you think Kramer beats Kennet? Didn't they split and Gaither beat Kramer at the duals for the second time this year wasn't it? And Kennet beat Gaither in over time this week. All close matches. All could go either way. Toss up I'd say.

yes all close matches. Which makes for a very exciting tournament. You could flip a coin with Kramer, Kennett, Gaither, and Filbey I think. And I just picked Kramer to come out on top

Here we are at the end of the season. Its shaping up to be one of the closest team races in many years. What are your top 5 team predictions and predictions for each weight class?

Team Predictions:

I think any of these three teams can win it this year as evidenced by the last few weeks.

Its so close this year that the seeds may be the determining factor. I may redo this after I see the brackets.

1. Cleveland

2. Bradley

3. Wilson Central

Maybe you should note that BCHS has beaten both of these teams in a Traditional style Tournament. I think Bradley can score more bonus points as a team, and do well/enough in the consolation rounds to pull it off. They have to wrestle better than they did at duals though. But for either of the three teams to win I think they have to do good in the consolations with bonus in the championship rounds to pull it off!
