As bad as we played the 1st two games against SG, that's how BAD we played the 3rd!

54-39 HHS after 3

Hate to hear that. As the old saying goes.... We have got to learn how to "step on someone's neck" when you get them down!  I hope we turn it around in the 4th period. It sounds like we played a great first half though.

We snuck one out against Hancock tonight..they are playing well right now. Wouldn't want to be North Greene having to go up there next week. I'm pulling for Hampton ...don't want to face them til the finals!

Old24eagle, It looks like it could be a Cosby/Hampton Region 1 final. I know the basketball bounces funny at times but unless I miss my bet, there is a good possibility of that happening. Here is to taking it one game at a time and respect all opponents. The next two games are one and done games and the season is on the line. Should be an interesting regional tournament.

The Hampton/SG matchups have a lot of similarity to the Meigs/Tellico matchup! I think in both cases Meigs/Hampton were the far superior team even though they slipped up and lost twice to Tellico/SG during regular season, but stepped into character and got it done when the big show started!!

I would pump the breaks alittle bit. Hancock took Cosby to the wire tonight. On a neutral floor, with competent officials, in a win or go home situation, I see no reason why SG couldn't beat them. Especially the way they can shoot the ball.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
