who will be William blount next head coach?

I'm not a Rankin advocate by any stretch of the imagination, but the hardware speaks for itself.

He has had jobs where it is easy to win. Just look at his record against maryville. He only wins when he overwhelms his opponents talent wise. You'll never see him outcoach and win against a team that has equal or better talent.

I would NEVER consider moving my family if he will leave in 2-3 years. I promise. He is a great coach and he is motivated and excited.

You say that now, but what if you come with him and a better higher paying job opens up? You will leave with him in a heartbeat. Money talks no matter what you say. I give him 3 years max at WB when he finds out he will never beat Maryville. If he couldn't with Blackman and their talent he sure as heck won't with WB. Sorry to be so blunt.

I'm talking trophies here.

Well if you're going up against inferior competition week in and week out it's easy to win. The fact is Alcoa rarely runs into a team that can even compete with their athletes but when they do, they lose 9 times out of 10. Just look at the last time they beat maryville....they ran a simple run play on 4th down late in the 4th qtr from the 40 to score and win the game. That is not a smart move in that situation by any stretch of the imagination unless you know your athletes are that much better than the team you're playing.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
