I have been to both Columbia Acad and Union City on many occasions and they are both top notch for any level especially 1a but I still give the edge to CA, but that's just my opinion.

I am partial but as a CHEROKEE fan there is nothing that compares to Friday night lights on Cooper Field in Greenback!

Yeah, and I can't think of anywhere else that you can back a truck right up to the fence...or even a old hay wagon and gooseneck trailer on a few occasions.

I agree.  A track around the field just kills the atmosphere for me.  Besides TC's field, the place I have enjoyed the most is Oneida.

Columbia Academy is sweet... Nice Complex on Campus amongst the trees, nestled down in the rolling hills of Maury Co.... That UC field looks great, but CA has it beat.

I will only say this. I'm proud of our school and facilities and it doesn't matter to me if anyone else has a better facility than we do. I say , good for them. I would rather keep on collecting Gold Balls and be done with it. Just saying.

Dont take anything I said wrong, UC is top notch and any school on here being mentioned have a lot to be proud of! UC has an awesome facility and field but the topic is who has the best and I think ca does. The old buildings that are still being used that surround the stadium really sets it off, it's a beautiful place and if you get the chance you need to check it out.

If we're going to make a decision, perhaps some criteria would be in order.

How about:

 

1. Is the field dedicated to football only?

2. Is there a dedicated side of the field for the visitors? Easily reached?

3. Is one forced to pay to park?

4. Are there restrooms on the visitor's side?

5. Is the walk from the parking area to the stadium a reasonable distance, not a marathon?

6. Are the fans in the back row close enough to hear pads pop?

Come on guys, help me out here. What should be some other things to consider?

ca has all that plus there's no telling how much money was just spent on a new indoor practice facility and the press box covers football on the front and basketball on the back. I'm assuming there was atleast a million dollars put into it
