Knox news has Harriman picked to beat kingston.how long has that been

I know it's been a while since that has happened. I do believe my Junior year which was 2010 that they had us picked to beat you guys. It doesn't happen often that we get picked, but you know this has to be a special group of boys for them to gain the respect of fellow sports reporters from the Knoxville area to pick them in this game. Now obviously theirs, mine, and yours opinion probably isn't worth a nickel to most but just the principle that the boys have worked hard enough to garner that kind of respect to be picked in a big game is special. It's a good feeling when you're the smaller team and almost always the under dog going in and getting picked! Anyways, it's finally here Jacketfan! Good luck to you tonight and I look for it to be a heck of a ball game between the two and i'm pulling for a BLUE DEVIL victory!!!

I think Harriman ends the streak tonight. Harriman is my dark horse to make some noise in the east this year. They were about 6 inches away from doing what coalfield did last year.

+1 thanks for the good words man! I'm hoping so much that you're right. I would love nothing more than to see us get a big win at Kingston tonight to start the season off right. There's no question that this team has the talent and potential to make a run. I've said it for a long time now, this is the most game experienced Harriman team that I can remember in quite some time. These Seniors and some of the Juniors have been playing in the big games that matter since their Freshman year and Sophomore year. No excuses this year, it's time to go out there and prove what they're all about! It's time to go to Kingston and get a win!!

Nothing but respect for "The Grove" and what you guy do. Me and the lady might very well stop by and say hello before game time tonight.

    • Sounds like y'all got a lot of bodies to choose from. We lost 2 really good seniors and have 4 from Junior High that has moved up. That will give us 12 starting summer camps. As you know we all have to stay healthy. Proud Alexander and Micah are going to play together at Bethel. They were really fun to watch at the All Star game in Murfreesboro. They have real good chemistry together on the floor.
    • Baxter will do what they most always do.....at a minimum produce at least 9 Ws and run into at least the 2nd round.....Booger actually enjoyed seein them in the Gold Ball contest last season.... Booger just sayin
    • Catholic North will provide them both a decent contest Booger just sayin
    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
