Hey man, no one said Jennings is not an elite qb.  He is almost as good as the one we lost. Isn't football a team sport?  Is anything wrong with getting excited about the start of the season?

Not saying you not right about Jennings, but 4-5 years ago another elite qb from DeKalb came into McMinnville, supposed to be the next big thing. Warren County was not known as an aggressive defensive team, supposed to not be good against the pass, but that night Pioneers blitzed, chased and harassed him all night long and he came up empty handed. Don't believe it go ask him, I believe he is on DeKalb's staff now.

He had more success running than passing last year against us, but you never know with these high school kids.

That is true. From what little film I have seen, he is a decent passer as well. Again, I don't see the Pioneers shutting him down but they should be able to defend him.

First of all the QB WC lost to Cookeville, Wilkinson I believe, isn't in the same league as Jennings. Secondly, good game WC. This game played out like most thought it would. Impressive crowd and atmosphere up there tonight from what I was told. Best of luck to yall on the rest of your season. Don't turn on each other or the coach half way through it.

I would like to hear the thoughts on DC from yall Pioneer fans.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
