Close maybe, but I don't think this matchup is what I would consider a good game. Siegel needs this game in the worst way

Siegel has had a tough schedule thru the first 3 games. Maybe the toughest in the state. I think they take this one.

I think the Stars get the win. WC has a solid front on both sides of the ball, but the QB is struggling. With no threat of a passing game Siegel will simply pin their ears back and stop the wildcats ground game.

 

The star running back will take it to the house enough for the win.

Pulling for the Stars this week as well as Praying for Coach W's father.

Nothing against Siegel but the only way they beat WC is because of mistakes. WC was running with 2 good backs because the starting back from the last 2 years has been in the coaches doghouse. He has not had more than 2 carries in a game since getting hurt against Gallatin scrimmage game.

On a different note, how common is it for a player to run, pass and receive TD's along with starting at safety, inside and outside LB all while in their varsity years at a 6A school? I am a basketball person and don't know enough about football to judge.

Typically in 6A; players don't go both ways. Some coaches say players wear down during a game. Just too much overall talent in 6A and 5 A. They think there should be enough talent on the team to two platoon. Other coaches play their best players both ways and on special teams.

I've heard from someone close to the team that WC's varsity isn't very good. That the JV was better. I guess we'll see come Friday at Siegel if my source has a clue?
