The one thing that interests me about this game is seeing how WB does on their opening offensive drive. With the exception of Science Hill, WB has gotten off to good starts on offense. I think Shad scouts teams well and knows what to do to be effective on offense. I want to see if WB can drive the field and score on Maryville's starting defense. That would be a moral victory in and of itself. If WB wins the coin toss they should elect to receive and see what they can do on offense. I don't think they want to give the ball to Maryville first because teams do stupid shat when they get down against Maryville. If WB can get the ball first, move the ball, burn some clock, and maybe even score this game might not be such a bloodbath.

B-U-tiful night for some football. Lots of story lines. First time facing the wb coach since state semi's a couple year ago. Murvil getting one injured receiver back and losing another. THE KID at wb is a player. So are some of those other old raiders in LA. Uncles, cousins, fathers, sons. Alumni. The GovClub. Transfers in and transfers out. Private schools, Recruiting. Spread offenses. Jerseys with no numbers. Top notch PA announcer. Stars, rebelwoman, Gov91. One way in and out-it seems. I plan to enjoy watching all those quality kids.

MURVIL IS THE WINNING TEAM! WB IS THE LOSING TEAM! IS RALPHIE ONE OF THOSE REFEREES? REALLY LIKE THE NEW SCOREBOARD!

I hope all the players stay safe tonight.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
