This young man is well deserving in 3A!!! Keep in mind though, Noah Whaley is sitting on almost 1600 rushing yards and 20 TD's and Zach Weatherly for CPA is also looming behind. Zach is about 500 yards behind in passing with a little over 1300, but plays on a "spotlight" team with MUCH more exposure than Upperman.

I know how the "spotlight" can sway voters. In 2013 a kid from up here had 2760 passing, 2650 rushing, 74 td's..9td's in second round playoff game and didn't win.

Chip Omer at CPA has been outstanding against very good competition.

Greenevilles RB Dabbs has looked great this year. 1500 yards and 20 tds. Alot coming in the first half of games.

As a ref was overheard sayin tonight.....a old long time respected ref at that to say......he is the  best I have seen in the Chattanooga area since a great from Red Bank; if not ever in my time....what a compliment

 

He ant a RB or a QB; but he is the ONE and leading the state in tackles is the word'''''''......THE STATE IN TACKLES...dont know how one would really know that stat

Earlier I was Messing around on huddle watching various people you all have nominated and saw this young man, and was extremely impressed with his playmaking skills against some of the better teams In East Tennessee. I've not seen any stats but I'm guessing they're pretty good.

Kentel has 32 rushes for 443 and 4 Tds

He is 1-1 passing 45 yards and a TD through the air

He has 33 receptions for 522 yards and 5 Tds

He has 30 tackles 2 forced fumbles 3 total fumble recoveries 2 fumble recovery Tds 5 interceptions 3 retuned for Tds... He has had numerous punt return Tds called back... This kid is a flat out do it all player on top of that he is an all state pg on the basketball team... Not only is he a great athlete but he also has great character... This kid deserves to be on that ballet but so do all of the players mentioned on this thread... Voters have to make Tough decisions every year...
