Dctiger, you should worry about that great, wonderful program y'all have over there. Nobody in WC cares what you think.

It's been a tough year for these kids.

Pay no mind.. keep cheering for those kids up or down... family , friends, and fans is what they are playing for. See ya'll tonight... good luck

I wish DC played WC late in the year. By then WC has already folded and turned on each other. During game 1 they're always still full of fight and hope.

DC, I think what you really wish is to no longer live in the trailer with your mom.

Seriously though, you have to respect the kids that put in the effort it takes to play football even when they know their efforts will not result in a winning season. That shows much more character than relishing in another's struggles.

I hope the Pioneers can keep this coaching staff and continue to build on the steps made this year. My hat is off to the players, staff, parents, and community that have supported this program.

The sign did read "we saved the worst for last", but the word "worst" was covered by the word "best" after it was hung.  Other than that, I thought Blackman was a class act.  Great team and great band.  Quiet possibly the best team we faced this year.

Ok ... that was wrong..and I can assure you that the football program , coaches and players had no part or would not allowed that sign to remain up there. The kids at WC have a ton of heart and hats off to them and the student body. Wish you all well and much success next week against Maryville.

I really hate to hear that.

You want to tell the winning team congrats and best of luck in the playoffs. It is sad that students make that difficult to say.

I trust the sign has been addressed with those who participated.

    • Same with Eisfelder from Providence not even getting a look in DII 1A.   But to me the biggest head scratcher is Collins from Lookout Valley. He wasn't even voted the best pitcher or player on his own team, a team that lost like 20 baseball games. Mind blowing.
    • Whispers abound suggesting that Robbie Atwood has been observed surreptitiously shadowing the erstwhile football coach on numerous occasions. Does such conduct align with the standards of acceptability?
    • Is it conceivable that BJ West will maintain his ardor if it necessitates forgoing attendance at his progeny's culminating year of scholastic endeavors? Such a scenario appears implausible upon closer scrutiny.
    • Wartburg heading to state for the first time in school history. Braylen Melton (sophomore) threw a 1 hitter today against North Greene.
    • I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.
