Hard to tell, black team won 26-25. Played 3 QBs, Ernst, Richard, and Stevens. Fitts had an 80 Td run for the black while Hughes and Jones ran well for the gold. Friday against a very good Smyrna team will give more of an indication. Looks like front 7 on D should be pretty good with Richardson, Dove, Small, and Amis up front. Very vanilla today on offense. Since baseball ended today I wonder if Coker and Dalton might get in some practice time

who is jones? Is he an upcoming sophomore?

Cane Ridge (should) have a tremendously talented defense, as they did last year for the most part. There offensive is typical metro style, get the ball in the hands of your best athlete and let him juke all the opposition for a ESPN top 10. They should make a good run in the playoffs.

Typical Metro come on now. They have several players who can hurt you on offense. They run the ball well with 2 ggood backs and throw the ball to any receiver that can hurt you. I'm pretty sure you witnessed that last year when Cane Ridge played y'all. That's not typically metro football that's they play by far.

Soph, wore #15 in the game. Played both sides of the ball as a freshman, not a lot of carries with Kincaid, McKellar, and Stevens in the backfield. Bigger kid whom I m sure will get a lot of chances in JV starting out. Lot of older guys ahead of him. Smyrna comes in Friday with a a very good QB in Turner and a very good RB in Perkins. interesting to see how we stack up.

Funny you say that because that's what everyone is doing at the next levels as well. MJ runs a spread offense and would love to get it to athletes in space, if they had any.

That's the advantage metro has. Why would they not take advantage of that?

Looking forward to  Mt Juliet and Gallatin and then the Bears vs Cane Ridge. Two tough games to start the schedule for MJ and then follow those up with Ravenwood after Cane Ridge. At least the Bears have these three games at home.

Wish they would put 5A and 6A together.
