JUST LIKE YAL FRIED MY OWLS FOR THE WALKER VALLEY GAME AND THE CLEVELAND GAME...I'M FRYING RHEA FOR THOSE 9 TURNOVERS....YOU GAVE UP ON THE OWLS AND SAID IT WOULD HURT US IN THE END..AND I BELEEVE IT WOULD HURT RHEA IN THE END..

I agree with most of everything you said about the game on this thread. You are correct, Rhea can't have anywhere near 9 fumbles with 5 turnovers against SC and expect to not get throttled. They were fortunate to get the win with that many turnovers against the Owls, I commented last week after the Oak Ridge game that was what the Owls do to you, they cause turnovers and make you pay. You normally can't make mistakes against them and win (16-0 game in Sep), however you are not giving the Eagle defense enough credit. Do you realize in the last 3 Owls vs. Eagles games, 12 quarters- the Eagle defense has held the Owl offense to 12 points total (16 points counting extra points from both offensive and defensive TDs). Either way you can't tell me Rhea's defense wasn't a factor in the Owls offensive issues.

PEPTO..WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT I CAN'T JUMP ON THE #BIGBOYFOOTBALL BANDWAGON AND PRETEND THAT THIS IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE NEXT ROUND AFTER A 9 TURNOVER PERFORMANCE AND ONLY 14 PTS. RHEA IS BANGED UP AND I'M JUST NOT SURE THEY CAN PULL OFF ANOTHER MIRACLE...YOU CAN BE ONE DIMENSIONAL ON A TEAM LIKE THE OWLS WHO HAD NO OFFENSIVE IDENTITY...BUT I CAN IDENTIFY AT LEAST 4 IN DOLLYWOOD'S ARSENAL THAT WILL GIVE RHEA PROBLEMS....IF THEY TURN THE BALL OVER IT WILL BE A LONG NIGHT...

I smell sour grapes.  If Sevier County is that good, then you should be thankful that Ooltewah won't have to go up there and get beat... since Ooltewah lost to the team going up there.

LAST YEAR WE LOST BECAUSE WE HAD A PASS HAPPY OFFENSE. IT WORKS THRU THE REGULAR SEASON WITH CUPCAKES...BUT YOU MUST ESTABLISH A RUN GAME IN FRIGID TEMPS AND MIX IT UP....THE OWLS GOT SO MANY BACKS BUT THEY CHOOSE TO GO WITH ONE MAYBE 2 THAT DON'T EVEN TOUCH IT ENOUGH TO HAVE A POTENT RUN GAME....AND THEN THIS YEAR YOU GOT A LIMITED QB WHO CAN'T THROW DOWN THE FIELD AND YOU STILL TRYIN TO BE A PASSING OFFENSE???? REALLY?? WAIT TILL YOU SEE THE GUNSLINGER THE OWLS HAVE FOR NEXT YEAR....PASS HAPPY AGAIN....THE DEFENSE WILL BE THE QUESTION MARK...

IT'S BEYOND SOUR GRAPES GLORY..AND YOU ARE RIGHT IF WE CANT SCORE...WE WOULDN'T WIN THAT GAME EITHER....AND IF RHEA DON'T HOLD ON TO THE BALL..THE SAME FOR THEM BECAUSE SEVIER IS OFFENSIVELY POTENT....BUT IF THEY ARE NOT TRAINED TO STOP THE CHICKEN WINGT AND ALL THOSE MISDIRECTION PLAYS  IT COULD GET UGLY....THE OWLS WAS THE ONLY TEAM WHO SHUT THEM OUT AND HELD THEM TO A LOW SCORING GAME..

I agree that the punt with about 3 min remaining was questionable but if you truly believe the RC defense wasn't a factor then you are delusional. I guess we can agree to disagree.

I HAVE TRIED TO SUPPORT MY COACHES ON DECISION MAKING....FORM EARLY ON IN THE SEASON WE KNEW THAT WE WERE WEAK ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL..AND I KNEW AT SOME POINT IT WOULD COME BACK TO BITE US....WELP UNFORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED....I AM SADDENED BY THE DECISION NOT TO MAKE CHANGES.. THIS WAS IT...LIKE I SAID..WE HAD ERRTHING AND ERRBODY WE NEEDED TO GET IT DONE.....AND YOU CANNOT WIN A PLAYOFF GAME WITHOUT EQUAL BALANCE ON BOTH SIDES.....WE HAD RUNNING BACKS AND RECIEVERS BUT NO TRUE IDENTITY....IF YOU CAN'T GET THE BALL TO YOUR PLAYMAKERS IN THE DO OR DIE PLAYOFFS  YOU WILL NOT WIN...WHEN YOU HAVE A 6 FOOT WIDEOUT GUARDED BY A MIDGET AND YOU DON'T GET THE BALL TO HIM YOU WILL NOT WIN...A MISMATCH ALL SEASON LONG!! THIS WAS NOT ABOUT WHAT RHEA COUNTY DID..HECK THEY DIDN'T SEE THE ENDZONE IN THE SECOND HALF..I DON'T CARE HOW MANY YARDS THEY GOT RUSHING....THEY WERE HELD TO 14 PTS...THEIR COACH JUST OUT SMARTED THE OWLS STAFF..KUDOS AND IF THE NEXT OPPONENT CAN CAPITALIZE ON THE MISTAKES THEY WILL WIN...SORRY RHEA I CAN'T JUMP ON THE #BIGBOYFOOTBALL BANDWAGON AFTER A OUTCOACHED LOSS LIKE THAT....AND THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LOSS OF JACKSON...WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR FROM  YOUR DEFENSE AFTER THEY HAVE CREATED 5 TURNOVERS AND YOU CAN'T CAPITALIZE ON AND A DEFENSIVE TD AND HECK #11 HAD OVER 100 YDS CHASING #16! WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR? #7 WENT DOWN AND STILL CAME BACK TO REAK HAVOK ON THE EAGLES..THEY DID THEIR JOB...

YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT AND YOU KNOW PA KEEPS IT REAL..BUT I CAN'T SIT BACK AND SEE A TEAM GET SABOTAGED THE WAY MY OWLS GOT THIS SEASON..NUTHIN TO DO WITH JACKSON...HE PLAYS DEFENSE AND THEY HELD IT DOWN....NUTHIN TO DO WITH RHEA'S DEFENSE...WHO DID THEY STOP?? THE OC STOPPED THE OWLS FROM ADVANCING... RHEAS OFFENSE...2 TDS IN THE FIRST HALF...NUTHIN IN THE SECOND....SPECIAL TEAMS MADE A BIG PLAY....AND THE NEXT SIGNAL CALLER WILL NOT BE THROWING DUCKS.. GOOD LUCK RHEA...COACHING WILL WIN THE NEXT ONE TOO....ALL MY BUDDIES AND HATERZ..THIS ONE WILL STING FOR AWHILE OR AT LEAST UNTIL MY MEDS KICK IN...ENJOY THE REST OF THE PLAYOFFS.. <_<

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces……….       I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.

      Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
