This sucks.  My son loved playing for Coach Cobble.  He will be missed.

I hope Jeff County gets a new coach in place soon.  Any idea on a list of potential candidates?

Would they consider bringing back Scott Meadows? He turned Jefferson County around once already.

 

If they promote from within, who would be the best candidate? Branton? Heath Woods?

Meadows is the only coach that has amounted to anything at Jefferson County. He was the only coach that has amounted to anything at William Blount also. Wouldn't take a rocket scientist to know who to call if your wanting to win again. I understand there was a lot of pressure to run the past coach off and they got their wish so I hope they have their backup plan in place because spring practice is near.

Meadows is a great coach and man. Not sure if he'd want to leave PF though. They treat him well and love him up there.

I would be somewhat surprised if he took the JC job again. It's not what it was when he was last there. But anything is possible I guess.

He had it going the other way. He doesn't hold a candle to Rebel Woman 87 when it comes to timely information.

There was plenty of talent when he was there last, but don't take nothing away from the young talent that is working it's way up from the lower classes currently at Jeff Co.  While they don't always pan out the group coming up seem to have a desire to want to do good and always done so. Hope that trend will continue to.

 

Timing is the biggest issue in getting someone that can get in and meet with the players and assemble a staff to their liking.
