Probably needs a hard push from the Nashville media to get a nomination. Many stick to their own areas' players unless a player is well known in the whole state.

Thanks. She deserves the notoriety for her efforts. Kia Upton does in fact have a offer from Lipscomb. I have a very good relationship with their Team Brandan Wright summer program coaches and her family member who coaches at East Middle as well. She'll be good too. The coach at East is doing a great job with those girls, and has managed a ton of talent. I've become a fan of the East Nashville program. They're great for Metro. Erica Haynes Overton is deserving for Miss Basketball. Hopefully the coaches feel the same.

Erica Haynes Overton record a 8th triple-double Tuesday. 31pts 12rebs 11stl (via Twitter). There's no other worthy candidate than her.

Ballinup I hope you meant there are none more deserving. There are several girls that are very deserving from outside of the metro area. Erica is the best player I've seen this year and that includes have watched teams like Mt Juliet, Riverdale, and Oakland to name a few.

Lakelyn Bouldin from Van Buren is one of the most fundamentally sound basketball players I have ever seen.  5 year varsity starter, signed with UTC.  She is not the most athletic player, but she can play.  And a great team player.

In AAA no doubt the winner is Crystal Dangerfield. Last years winner and if you have not had the opportunity to watch her play you missed out. The best player I have seen in maybe all my time watching girls bball in TN. She is special. #1 point guard in the nation, signed with UConn and a McDonalds All-American!!
