Southwind vs East and Bolton vs Cordova. Two good games but East and Cordova should win their games respectively. Heck ... Cordova has already beaten Bolton 3 times this season. I don't see Bolton winning the fourth one ... but, that's why they play them.

Both East and Cordova are title contenders. When the state playoffs get started both should be on opposites sides of the bracket.

Beating a team 3 times is hard....beating the 4 is even worse, as we Oak Ridge fans witnessed last night. I think the 4th time it is just as mental for the victor of the previous 3 as it is for the loser of the previous 3...does that make sense?

It makes sense but the underdog is clearly Bolton in this case. To which it can be said that they are playing with 'house money' because they aren't expected to win ... so they can throw caution to the wind. However, confidence goes to Cordova. Not cockiness. Cockiness will get you beat. I know the coaches and the players of Cordova realize the magnitude of this game and they know they have the horses to win. Playing this game like it is a play-off game is enough incentive to not take Bolton for granted.

However, we are talking about 14 - 17 year olds aren't we. That's why they lace them up and play them.

No, I'm not a big fan of these teams that take players from another school and are one year wonders. They better win all they can because they've got some real payback coming from some of those upper east TN teams. Plus, I have seen them play three times I think, and I've seen science hill twice. I said to my friend, I wouldn't wanna play SH at tourney time and I think they'll win it up there. I think DC has won 5 games in ot this year, sooner or later the odds just have to catch up to you. People up ther are PO'd that their little guard didn't make mr. Bball finalist, he's good, but not a finalist. So, i guess that's why I didn't pick them chad, but I did pick u guys. Lol.

Well, I said a while ago I wouldn't want to play science hill. Looks like science hill and Oak ridge advance. Crockets season ends!!

Oak Ridge probably shouldn't take that attitude, and I don't think they will. After all, they got a little payback due them.

DC's trip to the 'Boro just got exponentially more difficult. You have to know that the fans from SH have to be extra pumped about this win.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
