How cavalier!!  Does the safety of the kids even enter your mind?  Is there video of this match somewhere?

The argument that if you can't continue, you can continue for the rest of the tournament is ridiculous. I had a kid that couldn't continue ( as bad as he wanted to) in a semifinal match due to a non-illegal injury, but after resting and taping it up, came back and got forth.

That should've said can't continue for the rest of the tournament.

I actually saw a ref (I think they called him "Possum", maybe one of Simpson nephews)  tell a middle school kid, "Good throw son, that would have been a 5 point move in freestyle, but today it is going to cost you 1 pt".   Interesting paradigm, it is rewarded some of the time and  illegal others.
