DougS
The Starks family is a husband & wife combo out of Harding Academy. He is the boys coach as well as the AD and she is the girls coach. Not sure if they both have state titles but I know the boys team has won a few and she was a Ms. Basketball and College player. They could fill both the positions if interested. Coach Mrs. Starks won state at Harding Academy in 2010.
TTate
Just remember he was there, got out for a few years, and was asked to get back in. Sights have been set pretty low for awhile. The COC requirement is 100 years old. I don't see that changing nor should it. Their business, their rules. This will be harder to fill with a "name" than most outsiders realize. Coach Meyer has been gone from the campus for a long time and so have his "disciples". It is a different time now in many ways. Still would not be surprised to see one of the old guard come back (or the son of one). just curious....did you ever talk to Coach Tilman about running up the score? I know you were planning on it and wondering how that conversation went.
TTate
They would get slaughtered in DII-AA. They will never, ever have the kind of program that could/would compete there. The LU president has already tried to close the campus school and now wants it moved completely off the current campus to expand the college. No way they spend the money necessary to run with the big dogs. Missling Link2 Maddux is not COC. Ramsey is out also. For the same reason he was out at Ezell Harding. Don't see Edwards ever coaching high school again. I think he likes his workload now as a middle school A.D. I think they could compete in D2 and here's why.....Lipscomb does have the benefit of being attached to the university in that the incremental cost of educating one additional student is relatively low. There is the belief that if Lipscomb could offer financial aid to athletes, they could attract a significant amount of talent....probably could never compete with BA or Ensworth but if D2 splits into 3 divisions and Lipscomb is able to play in the middle, they will be very competitive for a long time. They will spend the money....currently spending $4 million+ on a new field house. You don't spend that kind of money and expect mediocrity. They have a relatively new head master who expects Lipscomb to be great. They will hire a "name" in basketball.....we'll see what happens. Maybe if he comes back to do our summer series this year I will chat with him.

Would think Sonn is an excellent candidate. Great young coach, good teacher of the game and has had players transfer to play for him every single year hes coached. Kids want to play for him. Plus, Lipscomb is an upgrade in some ways over GP.
WaReAgLe3
Sonn would definitely be on the short list you would think, not sure how Lipscomb would be that much of an upgrade over where he is at now.
missinglink2
One issue which hurts DL is I believe DL is the most expensive C of C school in the area? I believe EH, GP, Friendship are all lower. Is BA a C of C school?
Playerscoach
One issue which hurts DL is I believe DL is the most expensive C of C school in the area? I believe EH, GP, Friendship are all lower. Is BA a C of C school? Those schools all have a different history than DL and are the least expensive private schools around. DL is different school than those schools with its history, academics and athletics. Cant see how it hurts them since those schools are not competing for the same overall student population. bigchief
BA is not affiliated with any church or denomination. Neither is Friendship anymore. They dropped their COC requirement several years ago. Lipscomb, Goodpasture, Ezell Harding, Nashville Christian, MTCS, and Boyd Christian in McMinnville are all COC schools. WaReAgLe3
What's the news on the boys job? People still fuming over the girls fiasco with the coach not wanting to leave and then being replaced by AD son.
